    If you buy a ticket with one or more connections, you are likely to benefit from new specific rights in the event of delay on arrival at your final destination.

    What is a "Billet Direct"?

    The Billet Direct groups together all the tickets for a journey consisting of one or more connections, provided that the minimum and maximum connection times defined by SNCF Voyageurs are respected and that the purchase is made in a single transaction.

    The Billet Direct is an end-to-end contract.

    It guarantees the passenger assistance in the event of a broken connection. It also entitles you to compensation1 based on the time of arrival at your final destination and on the total price of the ticket.

    Your connecting journey must involve TGV INOUI, OUIGO, INTERCITÉS operators or regional trains operated by SNCF Voyageurs on:

    • National lines ;
    • international lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs: Paris - Freiburg, Paris - Barcelona, Paris - Milan;
    • the French part of the following routes: France - Germany, France - Switzerland, France - Belgium, France - Luxembourg, France - Italy and Paris - Vienna.

    For Eurostar, your journey must include connecting journeys operated exclusively by this carrier.

    Assistance in the event of a broken connection

    Depending on your journey, find out what assistance and compensation1 you can expect in the event of a broken connection.

    ASSISTANCE section

    • Continuation of journey: Free transfer to next available train
    • Return to departure station: Re-routing free of charge to departure station + full refund of journey
    • Trip interruption: Full refund (used and unused routes)
    • Waiting for a rescheduled train: Meals or snacks and/or drinks + Accommodation (and transport to it) in the event of onward travel the following day.

    COMPENSATION section1

    • Calculation of delay time: Taking into account delay on arrival at final destination
    • Delay = actual arrival time at final destination - arrival time at final destination indicated on ticket
    • Calculation of compensation1: Compensation on all routes

    ASSISTANCE section

    • Continuation of journey: Transfer to the next available train at the customer's expense.
    • Return to departure station: Return to departure station at customer's expense
    • Interruption of journey: No refund for unused journeys
    • Waiting for a rescheduled train : /

    COMPENSATION section1

    • Calculation of delay time: Taking into account the delay in arrival of the train affected by the delay.
    • Delay = arrival time of delayed train - arrival time shown on ticket
    • Calculation of compensation1: Compensation on the route affected by the delay

    Billet Direct: calculating your compensation

    In the case of a Direct Ticket, it is the delay on arrival at your final destination that counts. Your compensation1 is calculated on the full price of your trip, whatever the reason for your delay. Each carrier's compensation1 rate is applied for the route concerned, according to the scale below.

    • less than 30 min delay to your final destination: /.
    • between 30 and 59 minutes late at your final destination: 25%.
    • between 60 and 119 minutes late to your final destination: 25%.
    • between 120 and 179 minutes late at your final destination: 50%.
    • more than 180 min delay to your final destination: 75%.

    International routes TGV INOUI
    (Paris-Luxembourg, Paris-Fribourg, Paris-Barcelona, Paris-Milan)

    • less than 30 min delay to your final destination: /.
    • between 30 and 59 min delay at your final destination: 25%.
    • between 60 and 119 min delay to your final destination: 25%.
    • between 120 and 179 minutes late to your final destination: 50%.
    • more than 180 min delay to your final destination: 50%.

    OUIGO

    • less than 30 min delay to your final destination: /.
