TGV INOUI to Spain - the FAQ

    Reservations, exchanges and cancellations

    You can buy your ticket :

    • at SNCF stations and stores;
    • by telephone on 36 35 7j/7 and from 8am to 8pm (free service + cost of a call). From abroad, dial 00 33 1 84 94 36 35 (cost of an international call);
    • in SNCF-approved travel agencies, physical agencies or online agencies.

    Tickets will be checked when entering the train and/or directly on board.

    You can buy your ticket up to 6 months before the date of your trip.

    For any exchange or cancellation, you must contact the sales outlet where you purchased your ticket.

    Please note, however, that with certain exceptions (PRM accompanying persons), no ticket can be exchanged or cancelled after the train has departed. Charges may also apply, depending on the initial price of your ticket and how far in advance you purchased it.

    Finally, bear in mind that if you wish to change the class or date of your ticket, the fare difference will be at your expense.

    Essential fare :

    • Exchangeable and refundable free of charge up to D-7.
    • 19 € deduction between D-6 and departure.
    • 100% deduction after departure.

    Flexible fare (and toddler fare):

    • Exchangeable and refundable up to train departure.
    • 100% deduction after departure.

    Useful information

    To enter France or Spain, EU nationals must hold a valid national identity document or a valid national passport.

    Non-EU nationals should consult the information pages of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to find out whether a visa is required to visit a particular country.

    • Toddler fare for travellers under the age of 4 (the day before from the age of 4) :
      • Free when travelling on the lap
      • 9€ when the child uses a seat - available in 1st and 2nd class
    • Child fare for travelers under 12 or on the eve of their 12th birthday:
      • 50% of the adult fare in 1st and 2nd class in Essential or Flexible

    In order to travel alone, a child needs official authorization signed by his/her parents to cross the border:

    PMR services

    No specific fare reductions are offered for people with reduced mobility, except in the case of a free upgrade to 1st class for wheelchair users. However, a fare reduction is applied to the companion.

    If the person with reduced mobility has a card with a disability level of at least 80%, they can give one of their companions a -50% discount on the full Essential 2de classe fare.
    The card must bear one of the following indications: Needs assistance, Blind or Green star.

    The accompanying person must travel in the same class as the person with reduced mobility.

    Dedicated seats are available on all TGV INOUI trains up to 24 hours before departure:

    • 2 PRM seats are located on the lower level of the first 1st Class carriage (carriage 1 or 11).

    So you can travel in your own wheelchair, or ask to be seated in a conventional seat with special assistance.

    If the animal is a guide dog for the blind, or for the care and support of people suffering from diabetic or epileptic disorders, then it travels free of charge alongside its owner and without a ticket on all our trains.

    Mes bagages

    There is indeed a size limit for baggage, and there are several rules to be observed on board trains in this respect.

    Don't forget that each piece of luggage must have a visible label with the passenger's contact details.

    Your bike

    You can travel with your bike as long as it is folded and stored in a bag measuring no more than 120 x 90 cm. This service is free of charge. Don't forget that each piece of luggage must be labelled with the passenger's contact details.

    Your scooter

    Electric scooters and electric unicycles are prohibited from Spanish stations.

    Safety features do not prohibit traveling with water bottles, creams, deodorants, perfumes, etc.

    It is forbidden to carry the following items on board our trains:

    - sharp objects
    - bladed weapons
    - matches, lighters and their fuels
    - corrosive substances
    - flammable substances
    - radioactive materials
    - explosives

    Baggage containing any of the following is not allowed on board:

    • Dangerous: edged weapons, firearms, explosives, flammable liquids (fuel, paint, etc.) or any other dangerous product (chemical, biological, etc.).
    • Unusual: perishable goods with an unpleasant odor or plants.
    • Prohibited by customs or any other administrative authority.
    • Intended for trade: products whose quantity and/or packaging unequivocally demonstrate that the passenger ticket is being diverted for the purpose of transporting goods that should have been handled by an operator specialized in this field.

    Pets

    Small pets such as dogs, cats and birds are accepted on board our trains if their weight does not exceed 10 kg. They must also have a ticket linked to yours. They must travel in a cage no larger than 45 x 30 x 25 cm, fitted with a device to contain and evacuate waste. You will be charged €7 for tickets.
    Dogs not fitting the above dimensions may also travel without a cage, provided they are kept on a leash and muzzled. You will be charged €20 for the ticket. Only one animal is allowed per passenger.

    Pet tickets are exchangeable and refundable free of charge until departure.

    In France, you can buy your pet's ticket at the station or through a travel agency. This ticket must be linked to the accompanying passenger's ticket.

    Groups

    Group fares for 10 or more passengers entitle the holder to discounts on the day's individual semi-flex fare in1st and 2nd class:

    • Group of adults aged 28 and over: guaranteed 10% discount
    • Youth group 12-27 (included): guaranteed 30% discount
    • Children aged 4-11 (included): guaranteed 60% discount

    To travel on TGV INOUI France Spain (subject to seat availability):

    - You'll need to pay a reservation fee of €25 or €35 depending on the class you choose.
    - You can also upgrade to 1st class: fare from €29.

    Lost and found

    As a general rule, the control/supervision staff will drop off any objects forgotten on board at the Lost and Found Department of the train's terminus station.

    Compensation policy

    To cancel or change the date of your train ticket at no extra cost, contact the distributor where you purchased your ticket.

    Make a complaint

    For international journeys, compensation* applies regardless of the reason for the delay if your train arrives at least 30 minutes after the scheduled time.

    For international TGV INOUI journeys, SNCF Voyageurs offers compensation in the form of a voucher or bank transfer according to the following scale:

    - 25% of the ticket price of the train delayed between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
    - 50% of the ticket price for a train delayed 2 hours or more.

    All requests must be sent no later than 60 days after the journey.

    The above provisions apply without prejudice to the effective application of the most advantageous scheme, which may be provided by mandatory law in the country of the passenger's habitual residence, which is also the place of origin or destination of the journey.

    * reimbursement in the form of a non-monetizable digital voucher in the event of delays of less than 60 min.

    International TGV customers who have bought their ticket on the SNCF Voyageurs distribution network can apply for compensation* in the same way as for the 30-minute guarantee.
