    From home to work, from work to vacation, SNCF Voyageurs is proud to have been part of French people's lives for all these years. But above all, it's the best motivation to keep moving forward.

    It's not just our trains that are moving at top speed, the world is too: our customers' expectations are changing, passenger numbers are increasing, and competition is shifting lines in all our markets. So we're convinced that, more than ever, our future is written in motion.

    Our company, headed by Christophe Fanichet, was created on January 1, 2020 as part of the new unified public group SNCF, and we are a public company 100% owned by the holding company SNCF SA.

    Our mission

    Our mission is to offer the best green mobility solutions for travelers, to meet everyone's needs in terms of offer, cost, quality of service and respect for the environment, while constantly adapting to new uses.

    Our mission: to make the train a locomotive for the planet.

    Christophe Fanichet, CEO of SNCF Voyageurs

    Every day, we do our utmost to meet the expectations of all our customers: passengers, but also transit authorities such as the French State (INTERCITÉS trains) or the Regions (Transilien and TER trains), players in the mobility sector, manufacturers and constructors.

    Our organization

    To fulfill our mission, we are organized around three main divisions - corresponding to the three carrier activities - which define and manage the travel offer:

    • TGV-INTERCITÉS, for long-distance trains in France and Europe (TGV INOUI , OUIGO, INTERCITÉS, Eurostar, Thalys, TGV Lyria, etc.) ;
    • TER, operator of regional trains for the eleven metropolitan regions, excluding Île-de-France and Corsica;
    • Transilien, operator of 15 train and RER lines in Île-de-France for Île-de-France Mobilités.

    Expert departments and divisions operate transversally:

    • the Industrial Division groups together the Equipment, Traction and Train Path Divisions. It is responsible for the industrial maintenance of the SNCF group's 17,000 trains and those of external customers (passenger and freight), as well as for the development of new equipment. It is also responsible for operational excellence, an approach adopted to maximize our performance in terms of productivity, service quality and costs;
    • the passenger safety department defines the rules and tools that guarantee the safety of traffic, passengers and staff, and ensures that they are applied; it is also responsible for the conformity of rolling stock;
    • the SNCF Connect & Tech subsidiary administers the SNCF Connect website and application;
    • the General Secretariat manages cross-functional functions (strategy, HR, communications, finance, energy, regulation, etc.).

    • predictive maintenance;
    • the Mass Transit of tomorrow;
    • data;
    • and many other projects.

    Determined to offer the best possible service at all times

    As a rail carrier, we are historically in competition with other modes of transport: car, airplane or medium- and long-distance coach.

    Competition has also always existed in ticket sales.

    Today, however, it extends to our specific businesses: passenger rail transport, digital services and industrial maintenance - activities that are gradually opening up to other operators.

    We are determined to demonstrate our know-how and our demand for excellence in the face of our new competitors, whether in calls for tender for conventional services (TER, Transilien and INTERCITÉS) or on the open access market for medium and long-distance lines.
