Equipment Engineering

The Rolling Stock Division provides decisive expertise in the fields of safety, reliability, maintenance, interoperability and customer comfort. The department's Engineering department prepares tomorrow's rolling stock and optimizes maintenance, ensuring reliable, state-of-the-art rolling stock.

Routine rolling stock maintenance

Every day in 25 SNCF Voyageurs Technicentres operated by the Transilien, TER and TGV- INTERCITÉS transport operators throughout France.

Renovation and modernization of rolling stock

After 15 to 20 years in service, rolling stock is given a new lease of life in our 10 Industrial Technicenters, with the addition of new functions and technologies.

Spare parts

The Industrial Technicenters overhaul and repair parts such as axles, couplings, electric motors, air-conditioning units and so on. The Equipment Department supplies and delivers the components required for maintenance at all Technicentres.

Supply chain

The Equipment Department has its own Supply Chain, made up of suppliers and Industrial Technicenters. It manages the supply of parts to the right place, at the right time and at the right price.

We have designed our offer to meet the needs of three types of customer:

• Equipment owners, who are looking to increase the value of their assets over the lifetime of their equipment (acquisition, renovation, conversion).
• Rail operators, who want to optimize the performance of their equipment in terms of safety, quality, availability and maintenance costs.
• Maintainers, who want to benefit from parts deliveries and repairs.
