    A successful start to operations

    Since December 15, 2024, Sud Azur has been operating on the Côte d'Azur, in particular on the section between Cannes and Menton, the central axis of this rail sector, which is the busiest in France after the Paris region. The aim is to offer extended timetables, reduce waiting times and improve the fluidity of journeys. Regularity results - the first indicator of service quality - are excellent.

    A TER every 15 minutes between Cannes and Menton represents 20,000 additional seats per day, from 5.45 a.m. to 10 p.m. and up to 2 a.m. at weekends.

    A winning response to the Region's ambitions

    In concrete terms, Sud Azur's new offer includes :

    - modernized rolling stock: 22 trains renovated at a cost of €164 million, entirely financed by the Region;

    - improved customer service: clearer, more accurate passenger information and personalized assistance;

    - a new supervision and maintenance center based in Nice for improved local coordination and responsiveness of lines and timetables to facilitate travel, at a cost of €62 million, entirely financed by the Region.
