There is a limit to the amount of luggage you can take with you. It must be stored in the various luggage compartments available on board our trains:

    • For your cabin baggage or other small bags:
      • at your feet,
      • under your seat,
      • above your seat.
    • For your other baggage :
      • at the entrance,
      • in the center or back of your car,
      • in free spaces on the floor, between certain seats arranged back-to-back (provided they are not occupied by a guide or assistance dog, which has priority in this location).

What specific PRM equipment is accepted for travel on board?

List of specific PRM equipment authorized free of charge on board, one for each disabled person or person with reduced mobility:

    • Folding or non-folding wheelchair, electric wheelchair, electric scooter, PRM gyropod. These items are accepted within the limits of European STI PMR regulations, and must be equipped with a wheel-locking mechanism*.
Manual wheelchairs fitted with a motorization kit are accepted in the dedicated area, provided that the entire equipment (wheelchair + kit) complies with STI PMR regulations. Otherwise, the kit must be removed from the wheelchair and transported as special baggage, provided it measures no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm and is stored in one of the baggage compartments provided.
    • Foldable or non-foldable walker (accepted within the maximum dimensions of 90 x 130 x 50 cm).
    • Crutches, walking sticks.

In addition, a disabled or reduced-mobility passenger may carry one of the following items:

    • Oxygen cylinder (bring enough for the duration of the trip).
    • Mains-powered breathing aid (with battery backup).

    * A dedicated space must be reserved for wheelchair users to be able to travel on board with this type of equipment.
Reminder of European TSI PMR regulations (Technical Specifications for Interoperability for People with Reduced Mobility): the maximum authorized dimensions of a manual or electric wheelchair are 70 cm wide, 120 cm deep and 145 cm high (including the passenger), with a turning diameter of 150 cm.

What additional special PRM equipment is accepted as baggage on board?

The equipment used by the disabled person during the trip is not considered as luggage (however, the folding wheelchair of the customer who has chosen to transfer to travel, must be folded and stored in the luggage space provided for this purpose).

Additional equipment for disabled or reduced-mobility passengers, such as wheelchairs (folding only), motorization kits for manual wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, walkers, oxygen cylinders and respiratory aids, are accepted as special baggage on board TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS trains, up to a maximum of one item per passenger, measuring 90 x 130 x 50 cm.

NB: On board OUIGO trains (Grande Vitesse and Train Classique), additional items are accepted as additional or bulky baggage and are subject to a charge.
